Yes, after like 5 months of being a bum (a professional one at that ), I finally went back to school last Monday. It's a lot better than I expected actually... I've made a few friends already (thankyouGod), I didn't get lost on my first 2 days and I have (I think) THE best schedule ever. Hahaha.

Last Monday, I only had one class which goes for all my Mondays and Wednesdays till October 23. It started at 215 and ended at 335. So that'll be an hour and 20 mins of school every MW. I had History 111 and my teacher talks TOO fast and TOO much. As I've said to my barkada, she talked about our syllabus in like 40 mins and then she goes: "okay we have time left so let's start with lecture #1." Everyone in the room was like: "wtf?" Hahaha! She's so funny and she keeps talking about her son like she's advertising him. TOO FUNNY! Oh yeah, she reminded me a lot of my 3rd year lessons... She reminded me of Ms. Villarruz. OMG Hahaha!

I also met a Filipina named Julia. She's very nice and she's making me meet a lot of people too (a lot of Filipinos too) which is good. After that class, I got to leave already and we ate out to "celebrate" my first day of school with Japanese food. YUM

My second first day of school was good. I had Economics and English.. My eco class started at 11 till 1220 and then I have a 2-hour break then I have English from 215 to 335. My eco teacher is named Dr. Boo Su. Yeah, you read that weird name right.. And he told us to call him Dr. B.S. but as he says, he's not "full of BS." Haha. He's Korean so he has this accent I can't understand but his English is fine. Maybe I'll use my phone to record him one day.. He's very entertaining too which is good coz he doesn't make me feel uncomfortable in class. I'm the only freshman in my eco class coz it's a transferrable class so all the people in that class are already transferring to universities and stuff. Yikes.

My English teacher reminds me of Ms. Norberry from Mean Girls. Haha. Random

So far school's been okay.. But I've got ton of homework to do already. Thank God to no school every Friday for me and no classes on Monday because it's Labor Day. Yahoo

We went to Sta. Barbara last Saturday to celebrate the long weekend since Madel wanted to go out-of-town. We went to the Zoo and the mission.. Since I can't upload pics in multiply yet (boo to limits), I'll post some here first

It was a fun day.. After the zoo, we had Mexican food (I don't like Mexican food ) then we walked around lang. I had another Mocha Valencia (my new drink in Starbucks YUM =P~) but since it was coooold in Sta. Barbara, I tried it hot this time. YUMMY =P~ Then my Ninang bought me a ring with dolphins on it to match my airbrush tattoo. Then she also bought me an FBI hoodie then Madel got an NYPD one. So cute. Hahaha! Then we headed home that same night.

 The next day, we had a get together in my Ninang's house. I drove Tita Ann's new car (acura tsx) from our house to the valley. That's a good 15 miles, I think. I DROVE ON THE FREEWAY!! But this time, I wasn't scared na. I love the freeway.. The cars are soooo fast. Ahlahveet! I usually just drive around our area kasi.. Anyway, we had a g-o-o-d dinner at Ninang's house then my cousins Justine and Sam wanted henna tattoos. So I made for them.. Then my Tita Ces wanted one, actually, two on her also. So basically, I was busy that night making hennas for everyone. I even covered my airbrush tattoo with henna so it'll stay longer

I slept through Monday lang.. I was so tired I dunno why. Then when I was up naman, we were cleaning our ants-infested house. BOO.

I was early in school today.. I was there by 915 and my class started at 11 pa. So I bought Scatrons from our bookstore which took me 20 mins coz the line was long then I stayed outside the bookstore to sit down and surf the net. (I had the heaviest bag today coz I brought my laptop ) Then after a good 10 mins, someone tapped me. It was my friend Ian Umali. We go to the same Econ class so we hung out till our class started. We walked to the library so he can do his Econ homework (being the dorko I am, I did it over the weekend hahaha) so I surfed the net again. Then we walked to class.. Then after Econ, we ate lunch together then he was fixing something for his girlfriend so I helped him with it.. Our next class started at 215 so we just hung out and ate and made kwento through our 2-hour break. Thank God for his company or I would've died of boredom and loner-some. Hahaha It's funny coz we're both in a long-distance relationship thing so we're on the same wavelength. Heehee

Okay last kwento..

I had my first super LOL moment at English class today..

So at first, we had to pick a partner.. I went up to my side-backmate. Her name's Brie and she's Hispanic. Pretty but super mataray. Good thing not to me or babatukan ko siya )

Wait wait.. Background first of the people I'll talk about.. Dave - Napoleon Dynamite-ish. As in they talk the same way and dress the same way. AND WEIRD THE SAME WAY. You'll know why later Vincent - Pinoy that I just met today. Alene - our teacher in English. She's Armenian. Haha. Rochelle - Dave's partner.

So after Brie and I introduced each other, it was Dave's and Rochelle's turn. So it went like this:

Dave: "okay everyone, this is Rachel."

Rochelle: "it's Rochelle."

Dave: "uhhh it's the same thing"

Rochelle: *pissed off face*

(you're supposed to ask 3 questions and introduce your partners through that)

Rochelle: "i asked Dave what he does when he's bored and he said he cricket-whistles"

Vincent turns to me and starts laughing silently coz of course, it would be rude to laugh at someone's "talent."

Alene: "can you make us hear this cricket whistling you do?"

Dave *starts cricket-whistling*

Vincent turns to me again and we both mouth "WHAT THE HELL?" then we both started laughing quietly.

Rochelle: "Dave said everyone in his family does this cricket whistling thing"

Vincent turns to me again and mouths "WEIRDO" while holding in his laughter he was SO RED )

Me: "dude you're dying over there"

Vincent: "i know.. he's just weird"

Then we both started laughing again. HAHAHA. Dave is the funniest person in class. You all should hear him talk. When we're close enough, I'll take a video of him doing his cricket whistling thing. )

Oh and my teacher was so weirded out she goes: "that sounds like..." then some random person goes: "a cricket" then we all started laughing.. Even Dave.

Man I wish you guys were there.. You'd die of laughter

The Guidance Office of Assumption College is sponsoring a talk entitled:  “Love Conference” for the sophomore students.  This will be held on September 15, 2006 – Friday from 9:40 am – 12:10 nn at the Multi-Purpose Hall, HS Building.  The main objective of the activity is to help the students to create balance  and nurture their relationships since it is an important element for happiness and fulfillment.

In line with this, we would like to invite your barkada  to share something about your relationship as friends.  We would be allotting 20 minutes for your sharing and you may consider the following guide questions for the content:

  What is the nature of your relationship?
  What are the things that you enjoy doing together?
  What are the differences and/or challenges that you have encountered and how do you deal with it?
  How do you maintain a healthy relationship with friends as well as other people?

He has more weirdness to him

I went in the classroom and sat down minding my own business while listening to my iPod. Then Dave came in and sat on the chair beside me.. Deepti, my Indian friend, came in right after him. So there I was listening to idon'trememberwhatsong then Dave starts mumbling and he was looking in my direction. So I turned to him..

Dave: "Uuhhh.. Is that an iPod?"

Me: "Yeah..."

Dave: "Ohh.. It doesn't look like one"

Me: "Oh maybe coz of the skin I put"

Dave: "Is it worth your money?"

Me: "Huh? Uhm.. It was actually a gift.. But yeah, I guess so"

Dave: "Ohhh.. Can I look at it?"

Me: "Sure" *hands iPod to him*

Dave looks through iPod then mumbles again

Me: "What?"

Dave: "I was just thinking maybe you have a hard time with this skin"

Me: "Not really.. I like it actually"

Dave: "Oh alright.. Thanks" *turns toward the whiteboard and starts fixing his stuff*

After a few minutes..

Dave: "What are you listening to?"

Me: "I'm actually still looking for a song.."

Dave: "Ohh..."

OOOOOOKKKKKAAAAAAYYYYYYY. Wtf? Hahaha. Then during class, I had my binder open then Dave would turn to me and tap his pencil on my binder. WTFFFFF??? Chet I'm so mean

They were giving out free nachos at school today so during English, my teacher allowed us to go out class to get free nachos while she was going around checking our annotations. A lot of people went out to get but I had heavy lunch (I went out with Tita Ann to eat lunch with her) so I wasn't in the mood. When Vincent came back from getting nachos, he looked at me and said: "busog!" We were the only ones who laughed. Hahaha.

Then after class today, I was picked up late (again like everyday this week. boo) so I stayed by the pick up circle. Good thing it wasn't that hot today so it was okay to stay outside. After Deepti left, I stayed lang alone until my other English classmate, Christina (half-Italian, half-Mexican. International na 'to haha), approached me and asked if she can use my phone to call her mom since she was supposed to be picked up right after class. Then she kept trying but her mom wouldn't pick up so we just started talking A LOT about me moving, her family, my family, her highschool, my highschool, her being a cheerleader, me being in pep, etc. It was soooo fun. Then before I left, she asked me what time I was gonna leave coz she wanted to take me out for a drink as a thank you for lending my phone. Awww. Haha.

Today is the end of my 3-day school week. YAHOO. I practiced driving around the area of the DMV I'm going to tomorrow. WISH ME LUCK EVERYONE.

I passed my driving test! YAY! Buti na lang the guy was nice so I wasn't that scared anymore when he told me to start driving. Hahaha.

Yeah, I finally got to bring home the Civic last night

I'm so exciteeeed! I'm driving it to school already tom! First time ever to drive alone! YAY

Just a little background, My Ninang Marissa and Tito Romy gave me that car. My parents are so thankful coz they can't give me a car yet. It's an old car but who cares? it drives well and it can still go on the freeway. Fastest I went last night was 70! That wasn't stepping on the gas fully pa! Oh diba?? Haha. Maaaaaaan.. This is true independence at its peak. Ahlahveet

I can't wait till Thursday though... School's so boring. BOO. Haha.

Yeah so Saturday must've been the most random day EVER. I slept over at my Ninang's house in the valley coz I went out with them the night before so they can have margaritas and I had a shirley temple. Yeah, that sucked. I decided to come with them like 5 mins before they left. How random. Haha. Then when I woke up the next day, I had to bring Madel to hula class. Then when I was about to chill back at Ninang's house, my dad gives me a call and tells me that he couldn't pick us up anymore so we should just go straight home (meaning I should drive) after picking Madel up from hula class. So at 12 noon, I picked up Madel, went back to Ninang's house to get our stuff then I drove home. Yeah I had 2 casualties with me in the car.. Both minors. My cousin Julia and Madel. I wasn't scared to drive anymore though. Haha.

When we got home, all of the people were still asleep. DAMN. I was rushing to get home coz my mom might be upset if we came home late coz it was my dad's birthday. Then after like 20 mins of chillaxing, I had to drop off my sisters at our friend's house for a birthday party. Since I was waiting for Vincent, who came over to play tennis, I went home after. I had errands to do (I never do errands. How random haha) too so I brought Julia with me then we went to the grocery to buy onions, soda, ice, etc. Then we took a side trip to McDo since we were starving then we went to Starbucks. MMMMM. =P~

Vincent, my English classmate, was supposed to come at like 130 but it was already 230 and he called me and he was still in the valley. So Julia and I hung out at the pool then he calls me again then he was like 2 mins from my house. Wow. So I looked at the gate then I saw him in his car and I was giving him instructions on how to open the gate. Hahaha but he couldn't open it so I walked out and helped him with it. How funny. I gave him the wrong directions. Whoops sorry

We chilled by the pool for a while then we went up to get my shoes and racket. He met my dad (who was half asleep haha), my mom (who ran away coz she was still in pajamas) and tita ann (who was like hiding behind the counter coz she was still in her pjs too). Haaaay haha. Then we went to the tennis court.

Okay so Vincent was like in a tennis team and stuff and I certainly do not know how to play. So he was teaching me and stuff. Haha. *thanks for being patient and nice and telling me that I was good even though we both know I suck haha* We only played for like 30 mins then we just hung out and talked and took pictures. So funny coz when I took a picture, he was like: "oohhh myspace. hahaha" Now that was random right there. Haha! Then he had to go soon coz he had a party to attend.

After Vincent left, my sisters, Julia and I changed into our suits and swaaaaam. The water was freakin cold so we just chilled at the spa. Justine and them came so we were just talking. We were talking about frustrations on boys/men. That again is very random. Haha. Then we decided that I should get a phonecard (IN THE VALLEY coz that's where the Filipino stores are) so I can call the PI.

When were in the bathroom changing, we decided to drive down to Jon's (her boyfriend) house coz he was having a party. But we told the oldies that we were just gonna go to the valley and meet JM and Jose somewhere so we can all come back together.

So we drove all the way to Simi Valley, got to Jon's house, said hey, stayed for like 15 mins then left. SHEEEEHT HOW RANDOM. Hahaha. Then we drove back to my house coz it's been an hour already since we left. We didn't even reach the Filipino store coz that would've taken more time. Then JM and Jose were already drinking beer so they didn't want to drive. How responsible haha

Then when we got back to my house, Justine and I changed into our suits again so we can chill at the spa. But then it was closed already so we just went back to the house and chilled at the den. We were making Vincent come back to my house since he was home from the party he had to go to but his 'rents were home and wouldn't make him leave. He was gonna sneak out but instead of opening the front door, he clicked on the garage door and his dad woke up. Great haha. So I was just on the phone with Vincent, then Justine was online.. Chatting with Vincent. Hahaha wtf. Whatta funny guy. In Justine's myspace, he commented and he was like: "you're cool coz you're related to marj" hahaha awwww. Now we keep telling him he's cool coz he knows us. Haha! That went on for like a good hour or two. Then he was all sleepy so we went out to hang out with the other people at my dad's party.

Next thing we did was... PLAY RED DOG. Yesssss! Justine and I put up our own savings account so we have money when we go out. True enough, Justine and I won the most hahaha. We got all of Tito Romy's winnings from golf that morning.

Planned watching Employee of the Month last night with Andrew but when I checked the schedule earlier, it's showing next week pa so Andrew suggested we watch School for Scoundrels.

I picked Julia up from school at 225 then went back to Ninang's house because my mom made me do laundry. Greeeat. Haha. Then after that, Andrew asked me if I can meet up with him at the Plaza coz he couldn't bring out their car. So I met up with him then we dropped by his house just to drop off some laundry he picked up.. His house is niiiiiice They have this super big backyard! And Julia was like trying to hide from Andrew haha how cute.

Then we headed for the mall.. We got there pretty early and Julia and I were starving so we went to the food court. We killed time by eating then we headed for the movie house right after.

The movie was good.. I was laughing mostly because it was Jon Heder and it reminded me so much of Napoleon Dynamite and Dave. Hahaha Then there was this guy in movie who started doing that cricket whistling-ish thing. I was just dying of laughter. Good thing I got to show Andrew the video so he was laughing with me too. Oh whatta movie

Then after the movie, we went around for a while to get Sweet Factory then we headed home. It was a bit spontaneous how fun.

My cousin likes Andrew coz he's so nice. Hahaha.
